Event Guidelines

Lovemakingfest was created as a space for education through experience, self-discovery, and conscious exploration of sexuality.
We believe that clear frameworks make it possible to go deeper, more boldly, and more authentically. These guidelines are not an add-on to the event — they are part of its quality. They help create a space where intensity can coexist with safety, and freedom with responsibility.

1. Consent, boundaries, and communication are the foundation of this space
At LMF, nothing happens “just because,” “because that’s the vibe,” or “because everyone else is already doing it.” Every interaction, every invitation, every form of closeness, touch, or exploration requires conscious consent. Consent must be clear, voluntary, and can be withdrawn at any moment. A full and valid “no,” a pause, a change of mind, or the decision to simply observe are just as important as a conscious “yes.” We invite you to speak clearly about your boundaries, needs, and level of readiness — with respect for yourself and for others.

2. The festival has three levels of experiential intensity
So that everyone can move through the programme in a way that matches their readiness, festival activities are marked with three colours.
Yellow is the most accessible level — with no nudity and no erotic practices, closer to a classic workshop format, while still rooted in themes of the body, relationships, and sexuality.
Orange opens a greater space for nudity, contact, or experiences that require more trust and readiness.
Red is the deepest and boldest space of exploration — still facilitated and still based on clear rules, consent, and safety.
The colour of a workshop therefore speaks not only about its topic, but also about the level of entry, the nature of the space, and the quality of presence it calls for.

3. Access to the orange and red zones requires additional readiness
Participation in events marked orange and red requires a special wristband issued after completing the mandatory introductory workshop Self & Mutual Care – Caring for Yourself and Others. This is a 90-minute shared introduction to the basics of respecting your own boundaries and those of others, conscious communication, consent, and the culture of being in sex-positive spaces. This workshop takes place at the beginning of the festival, on Friday and Saturday. We do not treat it as a formality, but as an important part of collectively tuning the space. Participation in the workshop does not automatically guarantee access to every activity — in some cases, the specific nature of the space, the number of places available, and safety considerations will also matter.

4. We all co-create the atmosphere of this festival
LMF is not a place for passively consuming experiences. It is a space we build together — through the way we look, ask, decline, listen, respond, and care for ourselves and each other. We invite adult responsibility for your own choices, body, emotions, and boundaries, as well as attentiveness to other people, their pace, their sensitivity, and their right to a different path. There is no place here for pressure, boundary-crossing, manipulation of consent, persistent unwanted advances, or any behaviour that undermines another person’s sense of safety.

5. Safety also means sobriety, confidentiality, and the ability to pause
For this space to remain truly safe and clear, the festival follows a sobriety policy and a strong respect for privacy. We do not take photos or make recordings in workshop spaces, and we do not take other people’s stories, identities, or experiences out of those spaces. Everyone has the right to step back, rest, ask for support, or report discomfort. There will also be a Consent & Care Team on site, available for support, clarification of the guidelines, or help in situations involving discomfort or boundary crossings. We want this festival to be alive and bold — but never chaotic, random, or based on assumptions.
